The Holidays

Our Family - we are blessed!

I have been on a definite blog vacation and it would take forever to catch up, but we had great holidays...including Thanksgiving, Christmas , and New Year's. We got moved into our new home....which we love!!!! We still have a lot of decorating and the garage is still looking like a much needed garage sale is in our future, but our house feels like a home and we have adjusted well. We had a bit of sadness on Christmas day when our new neighbor's greyhound attacked and killed our poor miniature dachsund, Lexi. Not only was she like part of the family, but it was very traumatic because our whole family...including my girls.....saw the whole thing :(. The girls have adjusted and love to talk about Lexi being in heaven. They say she is playing with our other dog Isa and Seth's grandfather, Papa Joe, who passed away just before Christmas at the age of 97!!!! This was a neat year at Christmas because the girls are old enough to really start to understand and celebrate the true meaning of Christmas. We enjoyed all of the family and friend time so much. We had our yearly trip to Moody Gardens hotel prior to Christmas and had a special treat because the Havens were able to come with us! My girls loved playing with all of them and especially loved the snowman pinata!!! Other neat things we got to enjoy were a trip to ride on The Polar Express, ice skating, a day of real snow in Houston, and the Christmas Eve service at our church....LOVE IT! Here are a few pics from over the past several months.
