Yes, we may have lost big time, but the girls could have cared less!!!!! Tonight was the first adventure to MinuteMaid Park to see the Astros. According to Cady(Mrs.Know It All), you are not allowed in without a baseball hat. The girls made it through the seventh inning stretch so they could sing "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" and "Deep in the Heart of Texas" and then they were ready to go. As you can see, Jadyn wanted the full experience with a hot dog :), popcorn, AND ice cream! So blessed to get such awesome seats....Thanks Grandaddy!

Just clowning around....
Today the family headed out to the circus.....sooooo fun. We took my niece, Karli, and she was so excited because it was her first time there. We got there early so we could go down to the floor and get an upclose view of some of the performers. The girls loved watching Asia, the elephant, paint with a paint brush and then eat a whole loaf of bread in one bite. But the most exciting part for all the girls was two-fold...we spent the ride down to the stadium painting their faces like clowns and then when we got home they had the chance to paint mama and daddy. Gotta love "The greatest show on earth".

Waiting for puddles...
Kids are amazing and I took the time to learn a lesson from my girls today - slow down, and enjoy the moment. We had an awesome day of Yoga(yes, the girls do Yoga - and they are awesome....I will have to get some pics), crafts, swimming, and just playing. Tonight it was looking like it was going to rain and they wanted to play in the puddles. Well, it began to sprinkle and they were thrilled, but there was nothing even close to a puddle. We headed outside to "play in the rain" and although it was a light sprinkle, they had the time of their lives!!!! Each of us made up and told stories, sang songs, danced, and Jadyn collected nature for what she said was a future craft. I had tears in my eyes as they began to sing "Our God is an awesome God...." and that is when I took a moment to just "be in the moment". Over an hour had passed and Jadyn said "LOOK.....See, it is a puddle....God made it for us!" So simple, but i realized that while we are "playing", God is continually at work.....and puddles are a good thing!

Fourth of July....and the dentist
Jadyn's Birthday
Wow....my JadyLady is 4!!!!!! For weeks she would wake up and say "Is it my birhtday today" I think we have celebrated her birthday tons of times in the last few weeks, but the best was her "cooking" party. She had all her friends at a Young Chef's Academy and from the looks on everyone's faces...THEY HAD A BLAST! THANK YOU UNCLE MATT FOR TAKING TIME TO COME AND WISH HER A HAPPY BIRTHDAY! One of her other favorite traditions is to wake up on the morning of her birthday/holiday and see how the kitchen table is decorated :)
VACATION.....
We were so blessed this year to be given a home to stay in for a week in Taos, New Mexico. A 14 hour car drive and the girls were amazing( with handheld leapsters and DVD players). The weather was beautiful and we spent the week relaxing, hiking, mountain biking, eating, sitting in the jacuzzi, enjoying time with my parents, and ok....playing the new Wii Jadyn got as an early birthday gift.
I loved being in a city where everyone was so relaxed...the girls made friends and everyone just played with very little attention to material things....How nice to avoid cell phones and computers. It makes you realize that all the things that seem important as we rush around everyday at home are not really "so" important. What is important is spending time with each other. The girls said their favorite thing they did was to go "hunting", but they meant hiking :) For kids who usually want to be held, they hiked several days 3-4 miles each time and WANTED to walk by themselves.

Medical update/prayer request
Hey guys, I have so much to blog about what has been going on in life, but I wanted to put in the short medical update for those awesome people who continue to be prayer warriors on my behalf. Overall, things have been up and down. I got pneumonia for about 2 weeks, but I did not let it slow me down too much :) This happened right around our trip to Mew Mexico, but we still had an AWESOME time (which is a post coming up ). I had a repeat CT Scan on my chest and praise God it was normal. The scarring on my lungs that was there prior did not show up. I have multiple tests still to do, but I am confident God is going to continue to work miracles.
Prayer requests:
1. Normal results on all upcoming medical tests
2. Relief from my pain....joints, mainly ribcage
3. Continue to have peace over anxiety when I think about my health
4. Safety as I try to wean off a few meds...
5. Guidance for Seth and I on adoption decision and/or another pregnancy
Thank you and I continue to pray for all of my friends as well...please let me know if you have any specific requests.
