The Turkey Tango

The girls had their Thanksgiving recital last week....how sweet!!! I hope everyone has an awesome Thanksgiving....We all decided to say a few things we are most thankful for:

Jadyn's list...my mommy, daddy, my sissy, Hayden, Audra, Zoi, and Brendan.

Cady's list...my family, Karli, Brittany, Mr.Tray, Mrs. Taye, Moses, and Milan, Karson, and Kameron

Seth's list....family, God's guidance....in our finances and our new home!

My list...my husband, children and all family, friends, my new small group, my job, our new house, our spiritual growth as a family, my health, and just the joy of being able to see God in little things everyday!!!

I am 33!!!

What an amazing birthday - I already knew I had amazing friends and family, but they really made me feel SUPER special this year. Seth likes to point out I have more like a birth"month", than a birthday :) My girls made me a pretend birthday cake and we celebrated with Uncle Rodney before he left town. My office staff, more like friends, created a fantastic day for me at work. We had breakfast catered by The Black Walnut and lunch catered by Pappadeaux's. They decorated my office and gave me some very heartwarming gifts and cards. Then Seth took me out with the girls and grandmama and pappaw to a nice dinner and off to the movies to see Madagascar 2. Well, Seth and I had our celebration this last weekend at the Melting Pot....last night was a girl's night celebration for our friends with November birthdays, and tomorrow night is another girl's night out :). Gotta love friends....Really, I think I got more calls, texts, emails, visits, parties, etc than I can ever remember!!!! Thank you!

It's Official

My sister and her fiance, Brian, had a great engagement party!!!! We are so looking forward to having Brian as a part of our family. And we are also looking forward to the Valentine's Day wedding with the bonus cruise - yay!

Uncle Rodney and Uncle Matt

Uncle Rodney

Other than daddy, these guys are super fun for the girls!!!! Uncle Rodney came in from Australia and stayed with us for a whole week. It was so fun to have him here...we just feel a little bad that we shared the stomach virus with him, but what is family for :)

And Uncle Matt stopped by with his new Corvette....he took daddy for a spin, but the girls have not yet gotten a ride :). We will let Uncle Matt decide when he wants those little grubby hands inside his brand new car, but until then....the girls just like to talk about how fast Uncle Matt can drive now!!!

My Little Elves

This year the girl's preschool is doing their first ever communtiy wide toy drive for Christmas. They created posters to hang around town and Jadyn and Cady were both picked to be one of Santa's elves. You can see their expressions when they saw Santa already - pure excitement!!! This has been great because we are using this to teach them more of what Christmas is about. They know that Santa picked them to be elves this year in order to help kids who are less fortunate and also to spread the good news about Jesus to everyone. They have decided it is more fun to get for other kids than to ask for toys themselves...WHAT A BIG DEAL FOR A 3 AND 4 YEAR OLD. So excited to see how God works....LOVE CHRISTMAS TIME!!!!

Trick or Treat

"Trick or treating" at my office...

The first of the Halloween parties....

Halloween was so much fun this year....Seth and I took the girls to a great party the weekend before Halloween. Jadyn was Lava Girl(off Disney's "Shark Boy and Lava Girl") and Cady was a cheerleader. Our friends really made the kids a great party....more like a carnival with a dunking booth and all!!!

On Halloween, we were able to enjoy time with our new small group. Great party and a fun hayride to trick or treat around the neighborhood. Oh, did I mention the pumpkin pinata? Cady changed her mind and was a pirate for the school parade and the trick or treating, but Jadyn stuck with Lava Girl. Me, I was a 70's disco girl.

We even did a little trick or treating at our local Kroger and at my office....the girl's hit it big this year, but as jadyn will tell you, "Too much sugar is not a healthy choice!!!)

The pumpkin carving was super fun and the girls did not mind the mess....they just liked decorating cookies when the carving was done!

It's Fall Ya'll...Love the Pumpkin Patch

I absolutely love the fall and most of all going to the pumpkin patch. I feel so blessed this year to be able to do all this with the girls since last year I spent nearly 4 months so sick that I could not enjoy these experiences. The girls loved picking out a pumpkin, pony rides, the hay maze, the hayride, feeding cows, the petting zoo, and most of all watching mama milk a cow!!!!
