New Kids on the Block...

Yes, I went there....how could I resist a night out with the girls to see New Kids on the Block. I mean, apparently I wasn't the only one....there was a stadium full of women in their 20's and 30's screaming like little girls. It was a fun night and best of all I got the blessing of spending time with my friend Shea...gotta love her!(and I have some pictures I could bribe her with later) :)

I AM A SOCCER MOM!

I have entered the world of becoming a soccer mom....Jadyn is a natural!!!! She began soccer and has no fear. She loves running and even being goalie. She made her very first goal at her second game and was never scored on as a goalie. I truly think she could run the entire game if she was allowed too. She loved having daddy at all her games and especially when he got to coach her in the goalie box. Thanks Mrs. Carey and Mrs. Polly!

Good times, Great friends

As I mentioned in the last blog, Hurricane Ike really made us all slow down and appreciate the little things more. We rode out the storm here at home and with very little sleep, we heard the winds, rain, debris, and a random tree falling here and there. We were so blessed in many ways....little damage ( a tree fell on Seth's vehicle breaking only a light cover and a tree down in the backyard), we were only out electricity 6 days, we enjoyed a nice cold front, and got to spend a lot of time with our friends The Clarks. The weather was so good that we literally played outside ALL day, ate dinner with the Clarks(thanks for the generator), and then bedtime!!! After we got our electricity back, they still had no power for almost three weeks so, Angela's inhome daycare(Daycare Clark) became "Daycare at the Montgomery's :) Very strange to have up to 12 kids in my house at one time, but all in all a great time. I even babysat one night and created a music class/band with the kiddos...so cute! With our power back on, the Wii became a popular toy!!!

Cady turned 3!!!

Our baby turned three(9-22-08)....WOW how time flies! Despite all the Hurricane Ike happenings, we still celebrated Cady's party with a lot of family and friends. The storm made us all appreciate things a lot more.....friends, family, electricity, food, our homes, and just simply celebrating even the littlest things. Her party was at Flips gymnastics, of course...and had a Hello Kitty theme.

What is Cady doing now...being adorable as usual :)
She loves to "read books" to me, she loves Hello Kitty, she does ballet and gymnastics, plays soccer with Jadyn, enjoys taking care of her pretend babies, gives the best hugs and smoochies ever, sleeps in a big girl bed, has gotten really good at the Wii, loves to pray first everytime we get in the car in the morning, has a lot of friends and "boyfriends", likes to sing, loves to do "car line" at school, knows all her numbers, letters, and colors in English and spanish :), she is a mama's girl, but adores her daddy too, loves to go on "daddy dates", likes pizza, likes to convince pappaw to give her gum, she has the loudest voice ever(future cheerleader), giggles with her nose all wrinkled up, likes to get her fingernails and toenails painted, loves to play dress up, and well...she is very good at making all of us laugh and love!!!!

The girls playing at the hotel...

Yes, we took the girls for their first trip to Disneyworld and had the most amazing time!!! We had awesome bonding time as a family and also got to spend time with some of our most favorite people...Bart, Shannon, Sam, Gracie, and Charlie. Some people may think our kids are too little and won't remember the trip, but with the 620 pictures I took...they are bound to remember something :) Some of the highlights were taking their autograph books to just about every character we saw(they were very sweet with the girls and took time to talk with them), both girls rode their first roller coaster, we had 3 character meals....their favorite was dinner with the princesses(Ariel kissed Jadyn's cheek and left lipstick...Jadyn said"I am never washing this cheek again.", and watching Playhouse Disney Live. The trip was also perfect timing. On September 15th, Seth and I will be married 7 years and Downtown Disney is where he "popped the question". We took the girls to the exact spot and they took pictures of us there. We got to tell them the story of how daddy asked mommy to marry him....it was very sweet.

Jadyn's favorite character was Peter Pan and after she met him, she decided she needed to stand like him, with hands on hips and chin in the air, in every pic. Cady decided out of all the fun characters, the talking recycling bin is her favorite...too funny!

4 days at Disney with no stroller....Note to self...tired kids create very worn out, tired parents :) I loved watching Shannon on her scooter seeing that she is 6 months pregnant, but there were moments I felt like jumping on :). I would not trade this trip for anything in the world. We missed the MercyMe concert because Bart did not go on stage until 11:30 pm and our girls were exhausted, but we were simply blessed to have such a great trip and create some wonderful memories with our sweet friends...I think we have found our travel buddies....next stop - The Bahamas!

Ok...here are a few pics, but like I said we have 620 pics and if you have a character preference...let me know and I will post it for you :) Here is a list of who we have (Goofy, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto, Little Einsteins...June, Leo, Quincy, and Annie, JoJo and Goliath, Mike and Sullivan from Monster's Inc, The Incredibles, Frozone, Pooh, tigger, Eeyore, Darby, Piglet, Lightening McQueen, Mater, Power Rangers, Kim Possible with Ron Stoppable, Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Trek, Mr. Smee, Peter Pan, Wendy, Brother Bear, Pocahontas, Jimmy Crickett, Rafiki, Ariel, Belle, Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Alice in Wonderland, Jasmine, and Uncle Bart :)).

Updated prayer requests...

No fun pics today...just taking a minute to update our prayer request list. Preschool has started back for the girls, I am working more at the office, and Seth is enjoying his job and mountain/road biking. Summer went by too fast, but we refuse to stop enjoying each day...even if we all don't get to see each other quite as much. We have an upcoming Disneyworld trip planned!!!! YAY!

1. Prayer for my complete healing....I have been a lot more pain in my joints, rib, and spine.
2. Wisdom for the doctors and our family on whether to start new medications or wait...(ideally, i want to get off meds).
3. Guidance on our adoption process :)
4. Safety on our upcoming travel.
5. Prayer for strength as we as a family work at building a strong spiritual foundation and build new friendships along the way!

Thank you and know that I am always praying for my family and friends...let me know if there is anything I can specifically pray for.
