Fourth of July....and the dentist

Cady was such a big girl on her first real dentist appt....good news - NO CAVITIES! She did apparently have a layer of one tooth that didn't develop so had to get it fixed....she was so brave and did not even need laughing gas :)

Well, a few more pics to update. We had an awesome fourth of July....loving the family time!!!! We did the parade thing, BBQ, swimming, and fireworks. I loved at the finale of the fireworks Cady said it all....."Holy Guacamole!".

Jadyn's Birthday

Wow....my JadyLady is 4!!!!!! For weeks she would wake up and say "Is it my birhtday today" I think we have celebrated her birthday tons of times in the last few weeks, but the best was her "cooking" party. She had all her friends at a Young Chef's Academy and from the looks on everyone's faces...THEY HAD A BLAST! THANK YOU UNCLE MATT FOR TAKING TIME TO COME AND WISH HER A HAPPY BIRTHDAY! One of her other favorite traditions is to wake up on the morning of her birthday/holiday and see how the kitchen table is decorated :)

VACATION.....

We were so blessed this year to be given a home to stay in for a week in Taos, New Mexico. A 14 hour car drive and the girls were amazing( with handheld leapsters and DVD players). The weather was beautiful and we spent the week relaxing, hiking, mountain biking, eating, sitting in the jacuzzi, enjoying time with my parents, and ok....playing the new Wii Jadyn got as an early birthday gift.

I loved being in a city where everyone was so relaxed...the girls made friends and everyone just played with very little attention to material things....How nice to avoid cell phones and computers. It makes you realize that all the things that seem important as we rush around everyday at home are not really "so" important. What is important is spending time with each other. The girls said their favorite thing they did was to go "hunting", but they meant hiking :) For kids who usually want to be held, they hiked several days 3-4 miles each time and WANTED to walk by themselves.

Medical update/prayer request

Hey guys, I have so much to blog about what has been going on in life, but I wanted to put in the short medical update for those awesome people who continue to be prayer warriors on my behalf. Overall, things have been up and down. I got pneumonia for about 2 weeks, but I did not let it slow me down too much :) This happened right around our trip to Mew Mexico, but we still had an AWESOME time (which is a post coming up ). I had a repeat CT Scan on my chest and praise God it was normal. The scarring on my lungs that was there prior did not show up. I have multiple tests still to do, but I am confident God is going to continue to work miracles.

Prayer requests:
1. Normal results on all upcoming medical tests
2. Relief from my pain....joints, mainly ribcage
3. Continue to have peace over anxiety when I think about my health
4. Safety as I try to wean off a few meds...
5. Guidance for Seth and I on adoption decision and/or another pregnancy

Thank you and I continue to pray for all of my friends as well...please let me know if you have any specific requests.

Long Time, No Update

Hey everyone, I am so sorry I have been bad on the updates...as we all know, life gets busy!!!Well, I had more tests and the stress test did come back normal - PRAISE GOD!!! I am still going to random docttors, but have backed off some. I feel better a lot of the time, but still have a lot of "not so good" moments as well. I know God is healing me as I type!!!

The girls are getting so big and I will try to find a recent pic to post. So much happening lately....since my last post, I was blessed with a visit from one of my best friends ever - LORREN!!!! and I was able to have a girl's weekend in Miami with my sister, cousin, and friend Angela. I love these moments because it always reinforces to me the power of friendships. Seth told me one of the greatest blessings he had recently was when I called from Miami and he could hear a genuine "joy/happiness" in my voice. I sounded relaxed and happy. Even if for a moment, I forgot that "I don't feel good". It also took this trip to learn to filter the "negative stresses" in my life as pointed out to me by my sis and Angela. Negative energy can really bring you down and sometimes I think we don't even realize it is there....Another blessing I had was seeing a long lost awesome friend, Chris, and meeting his wife (Jean). It was so neat because she has been praying for me all this time and I had never even met her...a beautiful couple and beautiful friends! I thank God they are in my life and I thank God for all my friends.

Oh, I can't forget the blessing that Seth and I finished our last adoption class :) We still have a lot of paperwork and interviews, but we are well on our way!

New Prayer Request

Well, Overall things had been going pretty well until about 2 days ago. Actually, I have been noticing a feeling of being drained again and having some symptoms that I origianlly started with back in October, but 2 days ago I started having some chest pain that just would not go away and got slightly worse yesterday. Treating it like a bad case of heartburn...i took meds, but no relief. So, I went to a clinic yesterday and they did an EKG. It read out that a may have had a slight heart attack and I was instructed to go straight to the ER. With tears in my eyes, i drove all the while praying to God to please not let this whole fiasco go any further. I paged my cardiologist and he decided I could see him today in his office because i really did not want to go through the whole being admitted thing again. I wanted to be at home with Seth and the girls. He redid the test and the results were the same. I am scheduled for a stress test on Tuesday and depending on what that shows go from there. If it is normal - yay! If it is not, the possibility of more invasive testing like a catheterization is possible, but I am believing for a normal test and ask that you believe and pray with me. Thank you.

My girls...Blessings

I have not updated in awhile, but wanted to put some "Go Texan Day" photos of the girls on here....as far as medical news....I got denied at Mayo clinic which I do not understand and am praying for the next step in regards to where to go and what to do. I did find out that the building I have worked in for the last 4 years prior to me getting sick in October has recently been condemned due to toxic mold and asbestos!!!!! Scary!!!!
